Driveway Butte Hill Climb

The classic fall burner! Driveway Butte has long provided winter aspirants a chance to test their fitness before the snow flies. Choose your distance: .75 mile/600ft (great for kids!) or 2.2 mile/1800ft (the standard).

This is a community run/hike/fun thing. All distances are FREE; consider making a donation in lieu of entry fee to your favorite local youth non-profit or the MV Trails Collaborative who maintains this trail and pretty much every other trail in the valley.

Start times: 9am for .75 mile course, 9:05am for 2.2 mile

Jingle Bell Jaunt

This is a community fun run to benefit our wonderful emergency services Aero Methow, without which our lives would be very scary.

Costumes are welcome!

Race entry is BY DONATION to AMRS.

Start times: 9am for Kids’ 1k, and 9:15 for the 5k.

A spring reset: a weekend filled with running, eating, relaxing, and writing in a beautiful setting.

Spring in the Methow is the best. Bring your lady friends or meet some new ones and spend a weekend kicking off the season with running, writing, and relaxing.

Run as much or as little as you want with our guided runs. Distances vary from 6-15 miles each day*. Eat nourishing food, write, relax, do yoga, and run some more (or not).

Printmaking with Cal Waichler: Linocut Landscapes

Carve, ink and print a landscape that lifts you up. We will transfer the layers and textures of landscapes to hand carved blocks of linoleum. Then we will use a portable press and create consistent prints that can become gifts and cards for loved ones! No experience is necessary, but please come with a photo or sketch of a landscape that you’d like to carve.

Printmaking with Cal Waichler: Block to Bandana

Immerse yourself in the process of linoleum printmaking, from transferring an idea to linoleum, to carving and hand printing with fabric inks. At the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a bandana patterned with your own design and your own linoleum stamp you can continue to print with. No experience is necessary, but please come with a photo or sketch of a symbol that you’d like to carve.

Summer Track Series

This six-week series will help you improve your top end speed, improve your running form, and provide a (very) sport-specific strength workout.

Each week we’ll progress the workouts, and one of the great things about track is that it’s easy to tailor the workout to whatever you need. Led by Molly Hogan, she makes sure you get the workout and training effect you need based on your background, current training, injury history, and goals.
