Loup Loup Skimo Race

February 3rd, 2024 9am at Loup Loup Skibowl

Race up a narrow, moderately-steep climb up a forested slope before topping out at the summit of the Loup, nearly 1300' higher. Rip your skins and carve your way down Ridge Run to the Start/Finish/Lap zone, and head back up again (and again) if time allows. It’s the perfect venue to dip your toe into the sport of skimo, or race the friends you’ve been skiing and racing with for years.

START TIME: 9am

Bib pickup begins at 8am at the base area - look for the big tents, 80s rock and lycra.

Awards will be given for our top finishers in each category and duration. All racers will be entered into a raffle for equipment from our sponsors.

What: An all-welcoming randonee race on some fantastic NW terrain. Choose from two options:

  • 1 hour

  • 4 hours: as many laps as you can do

*Each lap gains and loses approximately 1300 vertical feet. There will be a “short loop” if you won’t have time to make a complete full lap in the timeframe.

**The downhill portion of the race is on a Blue run of alpine resort; no epic cliff jumps or narrow slot skiing necessary

Aid/food will be available between loops as well as heartier fare for after the race. Spectators and hecklers welcome!
