The Healthy Athlete: Nutrition for Youth

We’re launching a series of free, monthly community discussions on various topics relating to sport, and we’re excited to have nutrition be our first one. If you have an idea for a talk, please email alison@cascadeendurance.com. We hope to see you at one soon!

There’s so much in the media about optimal diets and healthy eating; so much so that it can be challenging to distinguish between thoughtful, research driven information, and food fads and myths. Add in figuring out how to help your young athletes eat well during a time of massive growth, and it’s even harder to know what to do.

Join registered dietician Abby Bange and CE coaches Alison and Sam Naney November 7 at 5:30pm for an informative evening to support your athlete. Geared toward parents but open to anyone, we’ll discuss how to fuel, nourish and thrive through a time of massive growth and development. While a lot of attention is made toward training, nutrition is another key component to recover well, prevent injury and improve health and performance.

Learn how to model good food habits, set your kids up for successful behavior as they become more independent, and ask questions specific to your family. This is a free community event!

Abby is an intuitive sports nutritionist who uses her advanced degree in nutrition and psychology to help athletes of all ages become more in tune with their bodies to improve their long-term health and performance.
