Winter Training Group
Welcome to the Winter Training Group! This page has resources as you get into your training and will serve as the “home base” for any additional information we want to share with you during the program. We have a Cascade Endurance slack channel where you’ll find channels on injury, running buddies, and more.

All of the updates will be on the Winter Training Blog
Getting Started
The first step in your training is to create a Training Peaks account. Training Peaks is the platform we use for all our coaching; at its simplest, it’s a calendar, but it also has powerful metrics for tracking your fitness and serves as a great training log, to make any notes and observations about your training as you progress. There’s an app and desktop version, and you can connect your account to your watch so that your watch data syncs to the app. Once you create your account, you’ll be attached to my coach account and I can apply your training plan.
Form
We’d like to know more about you and your goals so we can make sure you get the right training plan! Please fill out the form below.
Slack
There are several Cascade Endurance Slack channels. The button to the below will add you to CE. Once you join, I’ll add you to the private Ski Prep channel. Feel free to join any of the existing channels like injury prevention, training buddies, and more.

Love the routine
Our mantra is love the up, but we also love the mundane. Winter is the perfect time to build your base. Consistent strength and aerobic workouts on a routine basis will set you up for bigger adventures and racing when the weather gets better.

Training Intensities
Make sure that during your training easy efforts are easy, and hard efforts are hard. Most of your training should be at an effort where you can tell a story and not worry about your breathing, or about a five out of ten on a scale of one to ten.
