Personal Training

Building overall strength decreases your chance of injury, and gives you extra capacity for work. Mountain runners, skiers, and climbers in particular, see huge gains from building overall strength so that when you're out doing your sport, you have a reserve to draw from and your activity takes less from your body.

Alison is a National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) certified Personal Trainer and will tailor a program to meet your specific mountain goals. She starts with an assessment to unveil any muscle imbalances, then puts together a personalized program and watches form carefully to ensure you're lifting properly and get the best results.

Alison currently works with clients at the Mazama Athletic Club and Winthrop Fitness.

Pricing:

February Special! $50/hour for personal training in Mazama.

One on one: $60 per session or pack of 4 for $200

Semi-Private: $35 per person (2 people)

                       $30 per person (3 people)

Running can be a solitary sport and while we like our alone time as much as the next runner, there's nothing like training with others to help you push a little harder, and get out on dark, cold days.

Join us:

  • TUESDAYS at 6:30pm: Speed and power workouts. We alternate between sessions on the track to build speed and economy, and power/coordination drills on nearby steep hills. Workout protocols are defined at the beginning of each week and athletes work together to support each others' efforts.
    • Woodland Park: meet at the bathrooms between the ball fields off of Green Lake Way and 50th (approximate pin is in link).
    • Garfield Track
  • SUNDAYS: Most of us train for long events, so we often head to the mountains of the PNW for group runs on the trails. Check the Facebook page for more details. We run with Fleet Feet Hillbillies, Seven Hills, or form a group on our own.
